MUM
© Linda Sherwood
Mum, you were always there for us
whenever one of us were
sad and blue,

Mum, you always made us laugh
whenever we were feeling
sad and lonely

Mum, you were always there to
mend our wounds whenever we
fell over in the street playing

Mum, you were always there
putting us to bed and reading
us bedtime stories

Mum, you were always there
whenever any of us got into
trouble at school, even though
you used to tell us off for
getting into trouble in the first place

Mum, we all want to be able
to hold you in our arms again
but we now know that
you'll be looking down on us,
watching us

But most of all Mum you were
the best mum any of us could
ever have asked for and
we will all miss you very much,
look after our grandad's for us
